Investing.com – Vertex (NASDAQ:) reported on Thursday third quarter that beat analysts’ forecasts and revenue that topped expectations.
Vertex announced earnings per share of $4.01 on revenue of $2.33. Analysts polled by Investing.com anticipated EPS of $3.62 on revenue of $2.22B.
Vertex shares are up 31% from the beginning of the year, still down 9.03% from its 52 week high of $316.48 set on October 26.

Vertex follows other major Healthcare sector earnings this month
Vertex’s report follows an earnings beat by UnitedHealth on October 14, who reported EPS of $5.79 on revenue of $80.9B, compared to forecasts EPS of $5.43 on revenue of $80.52B.
J&J had beat expectations on October 18 with third quarter EPS of $2.55 on revenue of $23.79B, compared to forecast for EPS of $2.52 on revenue of $23.46B.
